We are proud to offer seam split insurance for those that want it. 

PLEASE NOTE:
WE WILL NO LONGER REPLACE ANY JACKET WITH SEAM SPLITS UNLESS THIS OPTION IS ADDED TO YOUR ORDER

WHAT WILL WE DO TO YOUR RECORDS/JACKETS IF YOU PURCHASE THIS?
1. We will slice open the end of the cellophane, take the record out, and put it between the cellophane and the jacket.
OR
2. We will remove the cellophane and put everything into a normal plastic record sleeve.

Please note that what method we use depends on which release you are purchasing and if the jacket is a double LP or gatefold.

WHAT IS A SEAM SPLIT?
A seam split happens when the record moves around inside of the jacket during transit and actually cuts through the seams of the jacket on the top, bottom, or side. This prevents seam splits from the record moving around inside the jacket during transit. They don't always happen, but they can!

WHY ARE WE OFFERING THIS SERVICE?
We usually do not have extra jackets for most of our releases, so this is the only real way to protect your jacket from this pesky occurrence. When you ask for a new jacket, most labels have to open another new copy to send you a replacement jacket, losing a sellable unit in the process, and costing the label money.

WHY IS THIS 25 CENTS?
We are asking for a .25 cent charge to this to cover the handling and the cost of the sleeve if it is needed. We are a small operation and the number of people requesting this service takes time to do.
